Vanessa Marcel

Vanessa Marcel, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, who moved to the United States at age nine, balances a distinguished career in the sciences with extensive leadership in event production. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Master of Science in Biodefense from George Mason University. Currently, she serves as the Laboratory and Quality Manager at Integrated Pharma Services.

Alongside her scientific work, Vanessa brings over 25 years of experience to high-profile event planning and production. She served as a Pageant Director for International Junior Miss from 2009 to 2020 across seven regional markets, earned Organizer of the Year honors for her work with the Miss Africa International Pageant, and has supported Beauty Is Everywhere New York Fashion Week for more than 20 seasons.

Vanessa is also an active community leader committed to philanthropy and cultural advocacy. A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., she currently serves as Communications Officer and Gala Committee Co-Chair for the Association of Haitian Professionals (AHP), as well as Secretary of the Gotta Have Faith Foundation, supporting underserved communities in both the United States and Haiti.
