In traditional Haitian culture, a kombit is a collaborative effort by members of a community, in which each member contributes their skills and knowledge to accomplish a task, and all benefit from the results.

At AHP, we ground our efforts in the kombit philosophy with a clear objective in mind: To fuel our collaboration with the community and to work toward common goals. Specifically: A Community Center, Scholarships (for young Haitian-Americans), and Training and Continuing Education for adults in our community.
