Amelia Cheri French

Amelia Cheri French is a Staff Attorney who works with Tzedek DC in the area of consumer protection law. Amelia believes that everyone is entitled to the economic freedom to access affordable housing and other basic necessities. To that end, the work she does in consumer protection law helps prevent deceptive and misleading business practices from leading to individual financial instability. Amelia received the Earl H. Davis Award, presented by the Jack and Lovell Olender Foundation, for her exemplary work in public interest law. Amelia holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, and a B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Analysis. Amelia loves to dance and spent 11 years taking formal dance classes in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and African.
